案首

案首的意思详解

⒈ 明清时代童生参加府、州或县学考试而获得秀才第一名。

⒈ 明清时科举考试，县、府试及院试的第一名，称为案首。

引《警世通言·老门生三世报恩》：“今日出其不意，考个案首，也自觉有些兴头。”
《儒林外史》第十三回：“小弟补廩二十四年，蒙歷任宗师的青目，共考过六七个案首。”
